Claybrookes Marsh

One of the most important areas for rare invertebrates in the county, this reserve would have originally have been grassland and a natural marsh. However for much of the twentieth century it formed the railhead for Binley Colliery.

Priory Fields

Comprising of four fields, this peaceful oasis is bisected by Mill Stream, which feeds the large mill pool sitting adjacent to the reserve. 
 
Predominantly moss and swampland in 972AD, the site gave rise to heath and pasture by 1495, and eventually became Yardley Wood Common until 1847.

The kissing gate on the left by the farm has a Radar key option but takes in quite a steep path. Follow the bridleway (Nunwood Lane) to the field gate at the end where there is also a kissing gate with Radar key access.
