Y Graig

A limestone hill with breath taking views over the Vale of Clwyd.

Dazzling displays of common rock-rose mark the arrival of summer, infusing the landscape with vivid hues of yellow. The site is a small limestone escarpment looking West over the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Much of the reserve comprises a mixture of calcareous grassland, woodland and scrub on steep slopes, interspersed with limestone outcrops. All of which combine to create a rich and visually dramatic haven for wildflowers and butterflies.
