Bird Nest Box Building
As a part of the National Nest Box Week the AWT and Alderney Watch group will be hosting and taking part in an event to build our own nest boxes.
This event is free for anyone to join and create their own nest box, although any extra materials supplied would be very much appreciated.
Big Garden Birdwatch - Alderney 2014
Every year the RSPB coordinates a nationwide effort to understand what is going on in our gardens. By surveying what species of bird, and how many, appear in peoples gardens we can begin to understand any changes in the populations of some our most popular species.
The count can be done from the comfort of your own home, looking out at the bird feeders in your garden. Alternatively you can join the AWT staff in counts at Longis bird hide at 10am on both the Saturday and Sunday.
