Winchester Wildlife Tots - Nature Quest Trail
Usually 2nd Thursday each month, 9:30-11am, at Winnall Nature Reserve (Durngate entrance). Please call Sparklers Children’s Centre on 01962 861403 for further information.
Wildlife Tots is for under 5’s. The emphasis is on family learning and all children must be accompanied by an adult. The activities are based mostly outdoors, in natural surroundings. Please make sure you come prepared with a waterproof coat and some wellies.

Also, learn how to record the relevant information and get involved in spider recording in Yorkshire.
A practical session will demonstrate sampling methods using sweep-nets, pooters and all manner of other devices to examine different habitats and collect material for later identification.
After lunch there will be opportunity to use microscopes to examine our catch.
This workshop, run on behalf of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, is being promoted jointly by the University of York and the British Arachnological Society.
