The Soil Under Your Feet – Basic Geology
Come and learn more about this essential part of our ecosystem. Where did it come from? Why is it so essential to life? You will never take soil for granted again.
This week join SWT Education Officer David Gill at Bay Pond Nature Reserve for a session on basic geology (including rocks, minerals, fossils and the geology of the local area) followed by a visit to a working sand quarry.

Autumn at Bay Pond
SWT goods and refreshments will be on sale all day.
Please note that hands must be washed after pond dipping and bug hunting and before eating. Well behaved dogs on leads are very welcome and dog owners must pick up after their dogs.

Walk or run 5k or 10k for Surrey Wildlife Trust taking in the beautiful scenery of St. Martha’s Hill and Newlands Corner.
