Cancelled - Trust staff have now finished the mowing etc so there is no need for another work party in August. Next regular work party is on 14 September, meet at 10am.

Work parties in Brampton Wood on Sunday 3rd and Sunday 17th August - meeting at the entrance to the Wood at 10am. Work will include clearing overhanging branches and scrub in preparation for Trust staff to do the annual mowing of the rides and the big glade. Tools and gloves will be provided (but bring your favourite gloves if you want). Bring food and drink. We normally finish at about 3pm - but you can leave whenever you want. Regulars and newcomers welcome (if you are a newcomer we will ask you to complete a Volunteer's Form).

Join Transition Guildford with Surrey Wildlife Trust for Scything for Beginners and Improvers. This is the fourth year of our highly successful one day courses run by Mark Allery.

It will run from 10am – 4pm at our beautiful Rosamunt Fruit and Vegetable Community Garden near Longdown Road in Guildford. You will learn about setting up, mowing techniques, sharpening, safety and everything you need to know to get started or to hone your existing skills with the scythe.
