Come along and join in with an organised event, or go off for a ramble in the area with a recording sheet and try and spot as many species as you can! Don’t worry, you don’t have to stay for the whole 30 hours, unless you want to!

This event has been funded by the British Ecological Society as part of their Festival of Ecology centenary celebrations.
WALK 4 WILDLIFE
For the first time the walk will be held in our Lower Woods nature reserve where there will be the chance to meet like minded people and explore this very special ancient woodland. All those who complete the walk will receive a special walk medal, and your canine companions will get a special dog tag.
WYE VALLEY MOTH MORNING
Join us to discover the secret world of moths t Lancaut & Ban-y-Gor Nature Reserves!
Join us to explore the contents of a number of powerful moth traps set throughout this ancient gorge woodland and reveal the secret diversity of this nocturnal world of moths.
WATERMEADOW WALK
Meet our Cotswolds project staff and get an insiders perspective on the work we’ve been doing on the watermeadows and rivers at Sherborne Estate.
This guided walk and talk, which is open to all, will help you learn about conservation methods and why they are so important to the local wildlife. If you’re lucky you may catch a glimpse of the residents such as water voles, waders, wildfowl and red kites! Dogs on leads are welcome.
The event includes stiles, kissing gates, steep inclines and roaming livestock.
TWILIGHT BAT WALK
Even though seldom seen, many species of bats live quite comfortably alongside us in our urban environments.
Join us for a guided walk and talk, whilst we learn about and hopefully see some of our local bats. The event is open to all, but participants will need to remain still and quiet, so please use your discretion when bringing young children.

INTRODUCTION TO WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WITH IAIN GREEN
Through the day Iain will guide you through key camera techniques and photographic skills. Due to small course numbers there will be plenty of time for 1-2-1 tuition.
This course is suitable for users of all types of cameras and the content will be tailored accordingly and to the needs of course attendees.
REPTILE SAFARI
Explore the heart of the forest and join us to look for lizards, slow worms and adders.
The local amphibian and reptile group (GlosARG) will demonstrate where and how to look for these reptiles without disturbing them. Learn about these secretive creatures and how we are managing the heathland for wildlife.
Suitable for children aged 12+.
INTERMEDIATE WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WITH IAIN GREEN
Understand how your camera works and the basics of photography, but want to fine-tune your photography of the natural world?
With Professional Wildlife Photographer Iain Green you will explore Coombe Hill nature reserve and the adjoining wetland habitat – with good chances to photography wetland birds and many other species.
GARDEN TOURS AT SUDELEY CASTLE
Join us on this specially designed tour which has been created by Lyn Hall and Jon Hodder, Head Gardener, to show you some of the inspiring projects that have been undertaken.
For over 15 years Sudeley has been gardening organically and supports hundreds of wildlife specifies within its many niche gardens, castle ruins and medieval stew pond including slow worms, toads, bee orchids, disease resistant elms, bumble bees, dragonflies, king fishers and nuthatches to name a few.
Walks leave 3pm on Friday and 3pm on Saturday. No dogs please.
