Feystown

Feystown nature reserve is small, yet interesting, because its unimproved meadow habitat is the prime site in Ireland for wood cranesbill, a Northern Ireland priority plant species. Apart from Feystown, this beautiful wildflower has only been reported during the past decade at two sites - both in the Glens of Antrim. Other interesting plants found here include yellow rattle and a single record of greater butterfly orchid. This compact nature reserve has other attractive features worth looking out for, like the silver-washed fritillary butterfly and the visiting linnet.
