Wyver Lane Wander
We will listen out for evening birds’ song and look for bats over the river. Wyver Lane is one of the Trust's most important wetland reserves. Situated within the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site, it has many resident bird species. Wear appropriate footwear.

Beeston Wildlife Group Walk
Lea Wood and Derwentside Wildlife Walk
The ancient woodland of Lea Wood, situated on the slopes above Cromford Canal, attracts a variety of wildlife including spotted and pied flycatchers and lesser spotted woodpecker. Derwentside, the second reserve is great for spotting butterflies such as small tortoiseshell, comma, peacock and red admiral. The walk will be about 3.5 miles. It is a medium level walk with some climbs and rough terrain in places. Bring a packed lunch and wear appropriate footwear.
