A walk to look for glow worms and bats in the Frays Valley nature reserve

The glow worms won't start to display until it is completely dark so we will take a slow walk down to the embankment and have a look for signs of water voles on the way.

There will be a chance to try out our bat detectors, and find out more about how they work, and about the species of bat that are around in this area.

Then it will be time for the "fairy" lights, and we will tell you more about the revolting habits of these delightful creatures.

It's quite a long walk down to the embankment, and it seems even further coming back up in the dark, but we take it slowly.  There is likely to be mud, and the path is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
