Graeme Hendrey Wood
This mixed deciduous woodland reserve is located in an old sand quarry on the Lower Greensand ridge. The quarry operated until the last century providing sand for the upkeep of local roads. Extraction of the site has created long deep ridges, making an uneven topography in the wood.
Gracious Pond
Gracious Pond consists of woodland, heath and bog on the south-east edge of Chobham Common.

Glory Wood & Devil's Den
Glory Wood is a wonderful area of semi-natural woodland on the sandstone hills south of Dorking.
The reserve is only accessible on foot and there are two self-guided trails around the woods; one circular and the other providing an interesting route from Dorking to North Holmwood.
Fraser Down
This wonderful chalk grassland reserve is situated next to Dawcombe and Betchworth Quarry (also owned by Surrey Wildlife Trust).
Fir Tree Copse
Fir Tree Copse is part of the Chiddingfold Forest Site of Special Scientific Interest, which is the single, largest woodland complex on the Weald Clay.
Fir Tree Copse is small in size but rich in wildlife and one of the best sites in Surrey for moths.
Comprising of oak and ash with an understorey of hazel coppice, it is particularly worth a visit in spring when the ground flora includes bluebell, wood anemone, yellow pimpernel, dog dog’s mercury, enchanter’s nightshade, wood speedwell, pignut and wood sorrel.
Fames Rough
Fames Rough is part of the Chipstead Downs Site of Special Scientific Interest and is a haven for many rare plant species.
It is managed by The Downlands Project, along with help from their volunteers.
Dollypers Hill
Situated in an urban area of Surrey, Dollypers Hill is a mixture of different habitats, including ancient woodland, scrub and chalk grassland.
The wooded section at the northern end of the reserve consists of old ash and hazel coppice with some maple.
Deepdene Terrace
Deepdene Terrace is a woodland reserve, located south east of Dorking, and runs along part of the Greensand Way. It is managed by Surrey Wildlife Trust under a 50-year lease.
Dawcombe
This is probably one of the most species-rich chalk grassland reserves is Surrey. Situated on chalk scarpland with thick patches of hawthorn scrub, mostly in the bottom of the valley.
Cucknell's Wood
At over 400 years old, this ancient semi-natural woodland near Shamley Green is a rare haven for wildlife. But Cucknell’s Wood is no wilderness. Careful management is now enabling a wide range of species to flourish – and the wood to resume its productive life.
