Beach Clean at South Walney Nature reserve

Come and help us clean the beach at South Walney Nature Reserve, in collaboration with the Marine Conservation Society.

We mark out a 100m stretch on the beach and record every piece of litter we collect. The survey results are used by the Marine Conservation Society to raise awareness of the impacts of litter and promote measures to reduce litter at source.

Booking is required.

Accompanied children under 16 years of age are welcome.

Please wear outdoor clothing. Tea and biscuits are provided!

Please note: No dogs allowed and there will be some walking over uneven terrain to reach the beach clean site.
