Guided walk around Grubbins Wood-cancelled
John Dunbavin will lead this walk around this special reserve. Whenever you visit there is something to see from with orchids, wild garlic and bluebells in the spring; wood ants running up the trees in summer; bright red berries on the yew and Lancastrian whitebeam in the autumn and oystercatchers in the winter there’s loads of wildlife to spot.
Young Wardens
Practical conservation day for 10 to 15 year olds, please book.
You will need to bring a packed lunch and wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Wildlife Training Workshop: Identification of Grasses with Brian Davis
The aim of this workshop is to be able to identify common grasses in the field using basic characteristics. Participants will be encouraged and helped to use keys and books in the classroom for some of the grasses collected.
