Soaring Seabirds
The Ayres is a magical place to go bird spotting and from the bird observation towers you can watch gannets diving and the shore line waders scurrying up and down the shore with each wave. We have some amazing sea birds, did you know that some Arctic terns fly as far as the edge of the Antarctic Circle for winter! Join us for a spot of bird watching and then warm up in the centre with a bit of bird crafting.
Frog homes
It’s that time of the year when the frogspawn will begin appearing in ponds across the Island. These jumping amphibians are great for your garden and amazing…did you know frogs also breathe through their skins as well as their lungs? Come along and find out more about them and decorate a ceramic frog home to place in your garden for when the frogs hibernate next winter.
This event is aimed at 5-11 year olds. All children to be accompanied by a responsible adult please. Cost £2.50 per child, adults go free if accompanying children
