Join Gwent Wildlife Trust and Newport City Council at the Forest Family Centre in Duffryn to discover the world of wildlife on your doorstep, including moths and butterflies, birds and mammals.
Learn how to identify butterflies using a sweep net and bug ID pot, look and listen for birds and take a glimpse at the wildlife that comes out at night while we’re asleep.
This activity is for beginners and starts at the Forest Family Centre with a moth ID session followed by a guided bird and butterfly walk around the woodlands. The walk is approximately 1 mile and will last about 1 hour.
